WARHEADS I 2 SPECIAL SCREENINGS I INTL. DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL AMSTERDAM I NOV 20 - DEC 1, 2019

On October 1, 2019 the first first selections of IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, November 20 - December 1, 2019 ) have been announced. In one of the three focus programs called “It Still Hurts” fifteen films explore, pre-empting the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, our world as a post-war world.

We are pleased to announce that Romuald Karmakar’s film WARHEADS (Germany, France 1992, 182 min) will be presented in this curated program (exact date will be announced).

WARHEADS, which premiered at the Locarno IFF in 1992, tells the stories of a British mercenary in the Balkan War in Croatia 1991 and a German who spent over 20 years in the French Foreign Legion during their campaigns in Algeria and Kolwezi (Zaire).
